ADMISSION NOTICE FOR B.Ed 2012-2013

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to B.Ed. Course for the session 2012-2013 in the Govt. College of Teacher Education, Dharamshala. There are 245 seats out of which  10 seats are reserved  for In-service teachers of H.P. Govt. Schools. Out of remaining  235 seats ( 160 non- medical & 75 arts/commerce ) 85% of the seats are reserved for bonafide/domicile residents of H.P. and 15% seats will be filled on All India Quota.

                                                                                 ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

Educational Qualification:  The applicant should posses either a Bachelor’s Degree (Non-Medical, Arts/Commerce) or Master’s Degree or any other qualification equivalent there to with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST and Ex-serviceman Categories) from a recognized University established by law in India,

Age:  The applicant should not be more than 26 years (General Category, Male Candidates) 28 years (General Category, Female  Candidates) and 29 Years ( SC & ST Candidates) of age as on 01-07-2012.

The age for Ex-service men should not exceed that of the age of fresh candidate of their respective category after subtracting years of service rendered by them in services from their  actual age.

There is no upper age limit for In-service Teachers of Himachal Pradesh Govt. Schools.

Hand book of information containing admission form can be obtained from the office of Govt. College of Teacher Education, Dharamshala w.e.f 10^th June 2012 onwards on all working days during office hours on payment of Rs 250/- at the Counter or through registered post by sending Bank Draft of Rs 300/- payable to the Principal, Govt. College of Teacher Education, Dharamshala. Postal order/ Money order will not be accepted. No prospectus will be sent by post after 10^th July 2012. The last date of receipt of Admission form complete in all respects, either in person or through post, in the office of Principal, Govt. College of Teacher Education, Dharamshala is 15^th July 2012 up to 4 PM. Forms received after due date will not be entertained.

The final admission will be done after the candidate appears before the committee constituted by the Principal for counseling in the college campus as per the schedule given in the Hand Book of Infomraion.
